CLASSROOMS
Preschool 1
Children ages 3 to 4 years old - Teacher/child ratio of 1:10

In our Preschool 1 class we practice “teach through play”. While we do have circle time in the morning, where children will discuss different themes and concepts, as well as going through flashcards, we believe that children learn most through their free play.
As children go throughout their day teachers interact with them on their level helping to foster their growth through their play. Kids often learn their animals through imaginative play, they learn their colors, counting and shapes through block play, and all the while go through different experiences with their peers where they foster their skills in social interaction. We will teach them life and social skills, help foster their independence and give them different tools to use to help navigate different interactions, such as taking turns, sharing, and developing their language to help them better communicate their feelings to one another.
Every week we have a new learning concept/theme. We regularly incorporate art and craft activities, science experiments, block play, and manipulatives. They will regularly have an opportunity to participate in music and movement, dramatic play, sensory play and regular field trips year round.
